History of Bardot, Claremont
Bardot Restaurant is the creation of Chef Alain Fournier, returning to the very site where his former restaurant, Harvard Square Cafe, originated in 1991.
Before ever becoming a restaurant, the space served as part of the Village Theater, built in the 1940s from the estate of the silent screen legend Harold Lloyd. Although the theater is long part of history, Mr. Fournier and Mr. Catherine recall those days by projecting silent black and white films on the outside wall nightly beginning at dusk.
Bardot’s interior reflects a Hollywood glam associated with its name. Elegant touches, including vintage wallpaper and an inviting water fountain at the front of the restaurant, project a trendy yet refined dining area.
